What to Expect
Redeemer Worship is...
You can expect a warm Regina welcome when you come to visit our church. You will find a relaxed community atmosphere and even the occasional witty remark (but don't get your expectations too high). We don't take ourselves too seriously but we approach the worship of God in a very sober manner.
The Covenant Community Gathered
We have the privilege of worshipping together with people of all ages, and of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. But despite our differences we are one in Christ and exist to build one another up. We not only worship together but also enjoy fellowship and light-hearted conversation. We love discussing and thinking about the things that matter most.
Jesus is the focal point of the entire Bible. Ultimately every verse points us to Him. We don't believe that the Word of God is simply a series of helpful moral lessons. It is the unfolding story of how God saves his people through Christ and that is the message we are compelled to preach and hear.
We come to church to meet the Triune God. Our worship service reflects the awesomeness of this encounter. We hear God speak to us in the Scriptures and we respond as a congregation. In every service we acknowledge our sin, hear God's gracious offer of pardon in Christ, and respond with thanksgiving.
The worship service is a magnificent theater of divine action. God speaks to us through the preached word, he makes promises to us in the waters of baptism, and he welcomes us to His communion table as he says "taste and see that the Lord is good." That which God has done to, for, and within his people in the past eras of biblical history he is doing here, now, for us, sweeping us into the tide of his gracious plan.
